Walls earned his BS degree in Biology at Radford University, Radford, VA. His education continued to Jefferson College of Health Sciences where he received another BS degree specializing in Physician Assistant studies. He then attended the University of Nebraska Medial Center, Omaha, NE receiving his Master of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant studies. Aside from his medical training, Walls also served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, Stationed at Newport, Rl, and Great Lakes, IL With a career spanning emergency medicine, family medicine, and urgent care, Walls most recently worked with area hospitals in the neurosurgery departments, assisting physicians in surgery, hospital rounds and office visits. In this role, his responsibilities also included supervision and education of physician assistant and medical students during their clinical rotations. He continues mentoring students in the physician assistant program as an Associate Professor at Lincoln Memorial University. From November 2007 to July 2008 Walls was one of a few PA’s selected to participate in a pilot program of physician assistants in England at Coachman’s Medical Practice, Crawley, West Sussex, United Kingdom, and active with PA education at St. George’s Medical School, London. Throughout his career, Jason Walls has been the recipient of numerous awards, and also held several leadership positions. He is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Walls lives in Johnson City with his wife and young children.
