Michael Johnson earned his undergraduate degree at Radford University in Radford, Virginia and his Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies at Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. Johnson then completed his Physician Assistant Internship at West Virginia University School of Medicine at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia. He has completed externships in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery and rotations in Trauma Surgery, Cardiology, and Orthopedic Surgery. Following his training he relocated to the Johnson City, Tennessee area where he has enjoyed working as a hospitalist PA in Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery, and Otolaryngology. He enjoys serving on numerous hospital committees and as a preceptor to physician assistant students and residents. Johnson is a Certified Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Outside of work he enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his wife and family.
