Nodules and polyps cause similar symptoms:

  • hoarseness
  • breathiness
  • a “rough” voice
  • a “scratchy” voice
  • harshness
  • shooting pain from ear to ear
  • a “lump in the throat” sensation
  • neck pain
  • decreased pitch range
  • voice and body fatigue
